Power steering fluid?

Default Power steering fluid?

Has atf4 superseded conventional power steering fluid on 1st gens? Link for refernce please. Cant find info yet on this bit of info. Parts store says no but I dont trust them. I'm going to be doing a system flush next week and will go with whatevrs best. Worst comes to worse the dealer should know eh?

Sorry no reference. But I don't see why atf would be used. Not that it necessarily couldn't be used, but I can't think of why they'd just switch to spec ATF instead of P/S.

Just standard power steering fluid is what I use. She steers like butter.

I'd be interested to know if the dealers says to do something different.

on gen 3 at least, its in the owners manual from what ive read. Figured I'd ask here.

Ah okay I wasn't aware. Personally I'd use P/S fluid for your truck but sorry I don't have any info on whether that changed, all I have is the FSM.

I just used PS fluid in my build...no problems so far.
