It's the 9.25" diff with no LS with 3.27:1 gears. (Until tomorrow. It'll have 4.56:1 gears after that.)

Hydra:

The only Gen 1 trim package that included Limited Slip as standard was the R/T.

It was optional for the rest, and strangely was not part of the tow package unlike Ford and GM.

BTW, the Gen 2's 4x4s were not offered with it at all. The 2wd models could be had with it however.

Gr8tscott:

The only factory offerings for gears were 3.55 and 3.92.
4.56 is a pretty deep gear. Are you going with bigger tires as well to offset that???

3.55 to 4.56 is a pretty radical change especially with stock wheels. 3.92 to 4.56 will be less so, but still quite a change.

You're right. It's a 3.55:1.

I am towing 6,000 lbs every day (mostly in town diving) and need all the help I can get.

I will probably go to the next bigger/taller tire when these die.

I'm looking forward to it being a radical change.

Scott:

Here is some baseline info from a fellow Gen 2 2wd owner that made the swap from 3.55 to 4.10 for the same reasons you are. Note that these numbers are for the stock wheels.

Numbers with Stock 3.55 Ratio Numbers with New 4.10 Motive Gears and Trac-Loc

50 MPH = 1500 50 MPH = 1730 55 MPH = 1700 OD

60 MPH = 1600 60 MPH = 1850 (2850 RPM in Tow/Haul)

65 MPH = 1730 65 MPH = 2000 (expected 2100)

What year and engine are we working on. It seems that I was wrong and I was thinking in reverse. LS was the difference not regular.
