What's the difference between a '99 & a '00?

Just for my own curiousity.. what is different in the front end of the 00-02's that they didn't recall the ball joints in the 98's or 99's? There is no obvious redesign.

The only redesign I was aware of was the rack & pinion steering in 2000. The ball joints in the '98 & '99's are still junk, though. I'm on set #3 in my '99.

The only difference that I have seen is that on a '99, the bolts that hold the ball joints on are smaller than those on a '00 and up.

also added running boards in 00, and the 4.7L engine, eliminating the 318 (5.2) in 2000.5 I think. I know for sure it was totally gone in 01

98 and 99 have aftermarket Moog Greasble Ball Joints available, 2000+ don't
