Default Cam and Head Recommendation?

2001 5.9 L Durango with cracked head. 75K on the original mill. Compression good on all cylinders. Going to do the water pump and timing chain also. Truck is used for mostly pavement driving and tows a RV about 4 times a year. Nothing crazy. Doing 1.5 shorty headers and a throttle body but want to keep keg style intake and will send out pcm to be reprogrammed. Already has MSaine valve body and flowmaster cat back, k&n.

Looking for low budget ( not cheap quality) COMPLETE performance heads w/2.02 valves. Will do 408 swtroker and would like to reuse these heads when short block is spent.

Also need a cam that will work with computer (once reprogrammed) and be streetable and give good flat power curve from 1800-5200. Almost never go over 5000rpm.

Was thinking Edelbrock RPM w/1.6 rocks and a Crane Xtreme but dont know what cam spec to get. .

Could use some other ideas? Anybody do any dyno pulls on a top end swap?

Hmmm, your looking for an all motor setup that when the engines shot, the parts can still be used for a stroker?

Edelbrock heads have the valves your looking for on the #61779 Edelbrock RPM. But this is not street legal. Why not buy new cast heads and have them port and polished and install a roller cam, tapits, rockers w/1.7 lift (all Roller). If this is done then you could install headers or not and be in great standing. As for the specs on the cam, call them and tell them what your doing when you decide on bolt in's. But with the 1.7 rockers this will be like caming it anyway so a cam isn't needed. Nothing is needed on the OEM PCM if this is done but a flash would take you out of legality anyway, so I am not too sure as to what you want to do?

If you build it in the frame of mind you are in right now your already going to possibly loose street legality?
