Default noise from blower motor on 2002 durango

Hey guys, found this site today while searching for info on replacing blower motor in my 2002 durango. When the fan is at lower speeds, there is a rattling sound like the bearings are going bad. Does this sound familiar to anyone? If i need to replace the motor, how hard is it to replace(removing the dash or just the cover in the passenger floor space)?

Replace the blower motor, heater core and evap all at the same time. Pulling the dash is a massive PITA and it is nothing you want to have to do twice. Each one of the above require pulling the dash so you want to do it all once. You are looking at $1200 on the cheap side.

If you try to DIY the install, you are looking at a full weekend. A shop can get it done same day. It is a solid 5 hours if you know what you are doing. 20 hours if you don't. Here is my thread for when mine was recently replaced last summer

Now... how bad is that blower rattle? LOL

Default Blower Motor

It only takes about 15 minutes to change just the blower. I just changed mine the other day. My didn't make n e noise though it just stopped working. It did come on a couple of times before it died. There r 3 screws tht hold it up!
Hope tht helps.

Thanks for the info. That was my concern if the dash has to come out. I won't tackle anything like that. Not because I can't, but I don't have the patience for it.
