I was doing the hood and tried this first because of the P&P heads, Fastman 52mm, and custom intake but I didn't need it. This takes in as much as I need. I did loose the front cone though that helped compress the air.
Like i said I'm going to find another spash guard and re-install it a lot beter.
I like the OEM look and always have.

it feels a lot better man, quicker responds and you can tell how fast it picks up speed while already driving . i gotta say im in love. what i did noticed is when i turn off my radio you can hear it sucking up all the air , it makes like a whistle sound but not too much that it gets annoying.
ha let me put it this way now he wants to drive it instead of his car haha
but yea man next thing im gonna get is probably gonna be my exhaust or body lift , dont know yet. but thx alot guys for all the help and i'll try to put up the pics as soon as i can

Yea,
Those CIA kits are just to grab cash out of ya. Now don't get me wrong, if you pipe in cold air with a nice smooth intake system it's going to help and not to mention looks but you need the purpose and functionality of the true CIA in the first place.
I though the only filter Fram made was an Airhog that was oiled?

Sorry, I forgot to mention I'm in Canada...It was the first time I've seen the "Platinum" filter here's a link on the specs.

It think I will be switching to the K&N for the washability... with this set-up more dust and dirt is finding it's way to the filter... I like to off-road a little so dust is an issue!
I did notice a difference in power, mostly at higher speeds. I'll be watching my mileage for improvement. Currently with a mix or city/highway driving I've got 130 miles on 1/4 tank... wish mine was equipped with the digital console to tell me mileage!
