01 Durango-Wiper Problem

I have a wiper problem on an 01 Durango. The wipers will not turn off when switched to off and when switched to pulse they wipe continuously, the speeds high and low seem to work fine.I replaced the mutifunction switch and wiper motor but problem remains.

remove or swap for testing front wiper relay.... ck IN PDC

+1 sounds like an electrical problem and first check would be to change the wiper relay and let us know if that fixes it then we can go from there

I have swaped relays, problem still there. The wipers did shut off where they are when i removed relay, but stayed running after i put in relay.

not going to be easy stupid is this.......

OK next is the wiper sense circuit... will post info later hopefully some one has it (troubletree) available....
problem is step 1 is going to be connect DRBIII* so we need DIYer info

* everyone has one .....right

here's a short story and a couple of tips. i worked on my 01 ram wipers for about 3 weeks one time because the intermittent delay would not adjust. it stayed stuck on the most rapid delay.

i swapped relays, replaced multifunction sw and CTM, tested wiper motor, tested wires, etc all with no change. it turned out to be a missing fuse for either power door locks or power windows, neither of which i have. that missing fuse has power interactions to the CTM and it was messing up the works.

so make sure ALL fuses are good.
test the wiring at the wiper motor for 12v on the park circuit wire.
replace wiper motor if not already.
it doesn't sound like a CTM (central timing module), but keep the thought alive.

test your wiring.
you should have 12v on either the low or high speed wire, whenever its on.
you should also have 12v on the park circuit.
the other is ground.
the park circuit is responsible for rotating the motor to the down position. when it won't do this, its likely the motor, or the park circuit wire.

Ever figure out what was your issue? I am having the same problem just have not replaced the CTM
