One of the small little problems on my durango since I got it a few years back has been the drivers side mirror. my tuck has the larger mickey mouse looking mirrors that only lasted a few years around the 98-2000 time range. These mirrors are an option called something around 'power adjustable folding mirrors'. These mirrors are great because they can be smacked by another car and they just give way and don't damaged(not all times). When I got the truck the defroster didn't work on the drivers side.. 15 minutes of trouble shooting I found the the resistance on mirrors heating element was outta limits. Reinstalling the mirror a hairline crack was found right threw the middle of the mirror. Being who most of us are and not allowing little things to be broken I searched everywhere trying to find a replacement; countless junkyards, a few glass/mirror places, and a few forums.. I about ended my search when I decided to call the dealership... $38 part for just the heated glass.. Pull out/ pop in.. done

In short... don't be too quick to count out the dealership..

Cool my heated mirror is also has a crack, but defroster works ok, is the replacement just the glass or glass and plactic backing?
