Homemade CD's in Stereo?

What format or program do I need to use so I can burn CD's on my computer and play them in my 2003 Durango with the original Stereo? I already have the songs and I thought being an '03 it would play MP3's...... Oh well.... LMK if I have to convert them and what free software is out there.

Thanks

no the stock deck in these trucks will not read any files on the disc, you will have to burn them as audio cds, or change the deck, or if you have a cassette player get the adapter, or if you have a changer ready truck w/o the cd changer get this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...mZ140309360732 for your mp3 player, they make one what will let you plug an ipod in and charge it while playing if you have one of those

See, Im using Roxio and I selected the option that says Burn CDs to play in car or home. And when I put it in the CD player it says error and spits it out. I tried saving as MP3 and WAV. What format will the D read? I dont have an MP3 plyer nor do I wanna get a changer or anything. I just wanna burns CDs and play them.

i dont have roxio, but if you have the music files on your hd, you can burn AUDIO cds using windows media player, makes life easier than using another program, and you would need to burn the disc for regular cd players, as long as you are selecting AUDIO CD it should work, but i dont have roxio, i have nero and zune software for burning cds, how many songs do you have on each disc? an audio cd will only hold 12-15 songs, so if you are getting much more than that you are doing it wrong

Thanks! I will try that! When I burned the other 3 CDs I got 18 songs on them. They work in the computer and my Avenger with an aftermarket stereo. I didn't know u could burn CDs on the Windows media player. Thanks a ton!
