Factory Alarm Problem
#12
I'll try to get a pic uploaded at some point soon with a decent camera (tried with my phone but that's not providing enough detail). The fob does say 'Chrylser p/n' on the back but also has TRW formed into the fob - not sure if that means it's aftermarket or if TRW built the fobs for Dodge at the time.
Sorry, but i haven't had time to look into it by resetting the alarm or trying to get eyes on the actual alarm unit. Work has had me in 4 different cities over the last week and not one of them is home!

hmm, so it sounds like mine is probably a factory fob. It is the first time I'd seen the remote start, though that's not saying much as my exposure to them is limited (one family member had a Durango in the past but it didn't have the remote start).
I wonder if the remote start is aftermarket using the factory fob? Either way, I'm hoping the reset fixes the original issue that i posted!

I have a 2000 durango. I had to disconnect the wires on the siren. My alarm goes off anytime I open the door and the only way I can shut it off is to use the FOB. I have tried to ground the light green and orange wire behind the drivers side kick panel with no luck. can anyone help with disconnecting the alarm?
