2002 durango overheating
I have a 2002 durango with a 4.7 engine that keeps overheating. This week I have already replaced the thermostat, water pump, and top radiator hose but nothing has helped. The temp seems to rise faster when the AC is on so i dont use it. Im not sure what else I can replace that will help the issue.

If its doing anything like mine is .. bubbling when the rad cap is off so you can see the bubbles .. its probley blown head gaskets lettting carbon monoxcide into the coolant... buy some allumiseal and put it in the radiator it will fix the problem for a bit till you can save up money to get the head gaskets done... mine just started doing the same thing

i had the same problem, over heaing around city, not as bad on hwy. changed thermostat, fan clutch, flushed rad, engine, & heater, rad cap, but still overheating. checked for cold spots in rad and found cold spots at the bottom of rad. changed radiator and all has been great. old rad was very clogged. it had ***** of sand/mud al over the bottom inside and out. i would check the radiator first & go from there.

buying the e fan
Those of u that replaced the electric fan...did u have to buy it from the dealership or where u able to get it somewhere else. It seems as tho im going to have to get it thru the dealership because no where else apparently has it. The dealer wants almost $400.00 for the e fan.
