mounting fogs behind the grille
i really want to mount my stock fog lights behind my grille but have no idea how to start.
just wounding if anyone has done this and has any tips for me. |
Saw it on RAMs before. Just drill and mount away.

IIRC, there's hardly any clearance behind the grille to mount anything much less a pair or fogs. You can mount a pair UNDER the grille like I did on my D. See the avatar. The main bumper has the metal bumper structure right under the plastic skin. Unless you plan to drill into metal, I suggest you mount the fogs somewhere else.

Hey guys, (not to hijack this thread) but does anyone know if the bumper on my "98 D SLT is strong enough to mount my tow tabs for my tow bar . I like to be able to rescue my own vehicles if I have a problem(ie; get them back to my garage if the need arises). If necessary I can fab up a set of mounts from underneath but it looks like a lot of work due to the lower front facia...kingoftow :icon_bump1:

i would not trust the bumper to attach a recovery point to, you want that connected to the frame, otherwise you are liable to rip the bumper off
