2001 Durango service 4x4 light
Hi guys.
first of all.....love the forum! Ok so my wife drives a 2001 durango 4x4 4.7 litre. The wheel bearing went two days ago and me being to busy at work had her take it to the shop to get fixed. Now when she brought it home the service 4x4 light is on, Could it be something they did? or didn't ? |
of course it could be, but i would check for loose connections on the t-case first, the other possibility is the tccm (transfer case control module) or switch in the cab (these two probably wouldnt be the shops fault)

LOL
Another classic I'll fix this and screw ya on that!......God I hate shops! |

Either... A) You have the worst timing luck on earth (stay in bed, it's safer) B) The shop failed to connect the sensor correctly or messed something else up. Answer: Of course they fouled it up. Take it back. Should have done so already becasue the more time that passes the less likely they are to fess up. Should have turned it around after the first block. IndyDurango |
Yeah but the problem is his WIFE drove it home from the shop! :icon_idea1:

Hello toofast4you. I just had the same warning light show up on my Dodge 2001 4,7L.
I am told that this is just a computer problem light from the TCCM box. I will need to replace it to make sure, but my location makes it very difficult. Live in Iceland, and no parts available except special order and would cost an arm and a leg. Should not be any problems with the 4 wheel drive. Have not had the chance to try it out. No snow yet. |
