Default what to do

2001 Durango with a 4.7 and 4wd. It would rev up and down and hesitate. I replaced the tps thinking that was the problem for some reason. That lasted about 4 days. Last night was leaving the inlaws and hit a bump in the road and the engine light came on. Seemed like had a smell but not sure if it was us or what it smeeled like. The engine was fine when giving it gas and when stopped it reved up/down and like it was going to cut off but did not. When got home like 30-40 mins later ran fine and light still on. Do i need a crankshaft sensor or something else? Btw the intake was dirty on the top part(oily like) is the ok i know need to be clean and will today hopefully. thanks

if the TPS didnt fix it the next thing to try is the IAC motor, however knowing what the CEL code is would be immensly helpful, go to autozone or similar and have it read for free

P0320 No Crank Ref Signal at PCM

Either your crankshaft position sensor is bad, there is a break in the line or a loose connection somewhere...

Most likely is it the crank shaft sensor?
