Default 2003 Durango Reverse Lights Non-op

Hello,

I have a 2003 Durango SLT 4.7 and the reverse lights have stopped working. The fuses are fine and the bulbs are also fine. I've poured over this forum and have seen the neutral safety switch may be an issue, but I have no idea where that is located. I'm not a mechanic so if someone says "on the transmission", or "on top of the transmission pan" I have no idea what you are referring too. Is there someone who can please help me with this? Or send me photos of where and what I am looking for. I picked up a new safety switch and don't see anything that looks like it on the car.

Thanks!

I'm not sure where exactly it is on yours since your transmission is different from mine, but there are links to the service manuals in the diy/faq section that have diagrams in them.

The safety neutral switch is part of the valve body. Its also called a solenoid pack. Did you use a 12 volt test lamp at the sockets and check for power and ground? Also inspect the shift lever at the transmission. Sometimes the lever will come loose.
