Default Torn Ball Joint Boots

Has anybody tried to repair ball joint boots as a stop gap? I'm sure I'll have to replace them (again) soon. I was thinking RTV and possibly inner tube rubber if I had to. I know it's half assed but it's temporary.

If they haven't been torn long you can probably get away with it for a while, just pump some fresh grease in to make sure dirt doesn't get in the joints. Definitely don't put off replacing them for too long though.

Decided to forget the stop gap. I bought Moog ball joints. Lifetime warranty and grease zirks. I was happy to see that.

I put on all new Moog ball joints and tie rods myself this past August. The balljoints have been holding up fine as far as I can tell, but I did have a tie rod end go bad in under 700 miles.
