Engine won't even crank
Dodge Durango 2000 won't start from one minute to the next.
Engine won't crank. I turn the key and nothing happens. No lights etc. a few times, when inserted key, ipod began to charge and the overhead lights came on for minute or so, but very dim and then wouldn't go back on after took key out and tried agina to crank the engine. What's going on? |
check your battery and your battery connections. make sure they're tight and clean, and you may want to have your battery load tested.

I had a new battery installed about 6 months ago. About two months later I had the battery connections cleaned, and I replaced the terminal connections (not sure if I got the terminology correct). |
still, make sure the connections are tight and clean. things can change in 4 months, the terminals could have worked themselves loose and/or corrosion could have built up
|
It could be the other end of the cables like on the starter.....ect.
It is giving you a classic bad connection or battery signal. |

It can be a few things but most commonly its loose connections or corrosion on of the ends of the connections. Check for tightness and corrosion on the connections leading to the battery, starter, and alternator. If it continues then we can help you step by step on here

It was the connection at the battery terminals. Thanks guys!

No problem glad you got it resolved. Damn connections are so discouraging lol.
