Power Locks Won't Lock '02 Durango
 

I bought my Durango in December and the dealership told me the power locking mechanism didn't work.

Neither the button on the driver's side or the passenger's side will lock the doors, but it WILL unlock the doors. All the slide locks will push over so the doors can be locked. I was wondering what the problem might be and how to go about fixing it. Thanks in advance for any help!

if both switchs work in one direction and not the other i would begin by checking connections at the switches and at the lock actuators, and i would check the lock actuators to see if they are mvoing in both directions or if they are only shifting in one direction, (this will require taking the doors apart)

I would look at the main drivers door switch and replace it first. Also check the connections at the harness when you plug in your new switch.
