My horse & i are moving across country
 
Im buying a 2000 dodge durango SLT magnum 2WD 5.2 V8 automatic to pull a 2 horse horse trailer hauling 1 horse from calif to pennsylvania can anyone tell me what I can expect as far as towing performance? THANK YOU

You should be just fine these trucks are great for towing, 5.9L are a little better at towing the weight but you should do okay with a 5.2L as well. Also try to find one with 3.92 gearing as you will do better on the highway esp if you go up a lot of hills..... One other thing i would suggest is if you are moving to PA try to find a 4WD truck if you can, you'll be happy you did come winter.
What part of PA are you moving too?

Yeah, 4WD is pretty much a must in PA for winter.
