Default Computer Reset Procedure

Good Morning! Newby here and loving all the info! 1999 Durango, 5.9L, auto, 4x4. Thanks to you guys I have figured out that my no/rough idle problem was due to the battery. Getting ready to swap the battery out and according again to what I have read, I need to reset the computer. But just how do you do that? I searched for the procedure but so far, no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Welcome to the forum! Your computer will be reset once you disconnect the negative terminal. Leave the battery out for a few minutes before installing the new one. (a good time to clean the battery bay out, as well as those hard-to-get-to places) Once the new battery is in, start it and let it run for about a minute WITHOUT PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL. Then start again.
If I missed something, someone will be by shortly to fill in the blanks.
