Default Road Trip!

Place your bets right now folks!

We are taking the Durango on a 1,200 mile round trip to the beach cabin in central Oregon. Week long trip.

Truck has 180,288 miles on the 4.7

It has sat and collected 1,500 miles in the past 11 months (1,100 of those were a 5 day trip to the California Redwoods for camping late last summer).

I had ford pick it up last week for an alignment and visual inspection of all - all came back good to go but otherwise...

So I’m on the side that SOMETHING is going to break/fail/cause extreme concern.

What are your bets on a smooth sailing trip?

It got one of those new fangled fancy over-tech 4.7's. Somethings going to go for sure. Bring your credit cards and cell phone.

Well I like to be an optimist. If you are doing your proper maintenance like you say I doubt anything will happen, even with 180k on it. But just cause I'm an optimist don't mean I ain't prepared.

I think everything oughta go fine. I've taken long trips with my 4.7 with no issue. I'm just interested to hear what kind of MPG you'll get.
