Srch's rebuild

Been pretty busy lately with work and school. I'm in the process of rebuilding the 318 in my truck. Got it ripped out and everything dismantled except the valves are still in the head. Will be bored .020 over. My question currently is will I gain anything if I index the cam and advance it a bit.

No, the PCM will account for it, besides you don't need to advance the timing on a new motor, besides it would most likely throw codes considering the crank and cam won't be in sink.

Just install a oversized cam and be done with it. Also P&P your heads while it's out.

OK OK I'm posting pictures. Looks like dodge didn't make the exhaust valve seats hardened. They just used a hardened coat. So I have to get hardened seats put in. This rebuild is getting more expensive lol. Still waiting for the machine shop to finish so I rebuilt the ps pump Thursday.
