towing question..

my buddy has small 19 inch fishing boat, i got 4.7 durango 4WD with no tow package, i should have no problem towing it right due to boat size. also what does tow package come with other than long ass mirrors?

what's the weight?

A 19 incher I wouldn't worry either (lol).
A 19 footer will go around 3000-3300 with trailer I believe. Mine goes around 3350 with all the gear loaded.
All I did on my '02 4.7 Durango was add a the receiver and trailer wire kit. I had no issues towing except for the little mirrors. I planned to add a trans cooler but never got around to it as the Durango got totaled last year. I did keep the fluid changes up per the manual.

From my '02 brochure.
Engine 4.7, Axle Ratio 3.55/3.92
Gross Wt combined..... 9200/10500
Max Trailer Wt 4X2.... 4650/5950
.....................4X4 ....4400/5700

Trailer tow group for the '02 ................
CL 4 receiver
7 pin receptacle (mounted on receiver) and an additional 4 flat pig tail
large dual heated folding side mirrors
HD service group which consists of....
160 amp alternator
750 amp battery
maximum engine cooling (doesn't stipulate differences)

The tow package also had a transmission cooler and I believe came with the mechanical fan on the water pump as well as an electric fan on the radiator for the "maximum engine cooling".
