I am having a similar issue. After installing a new alternator, the voltage is not up with the engine running regardless of engine speed. How do I diagnose the Power Control Module?

Take the alternator to your local parts store, and have it tested. If it works on their test bench, the voltage regulator in the PCM is toast.

I'll second that, my 99 1/2 ton is having the same problem. I've tried 2 different alternators and it goes dead in about a day. I'm going to check for a draw on it but I'm leaning towards the computer being junk.
