Idler arm upgrade

Hey I'm wanting to know if it's possible to use a ram 2500 idler arm on a 99 Durango? would like to beef it up.

Why is it you think a simple replacement of the stock arm is deficient? It's just idles, doing minimal work.

I use it off road seems regular stock can't cut it. Just wanting to beef it up.

Ok, I get that. I off-road and rock crawl my '93 Jeep on 35's. I actually put in a '99 Durango steering box in the Jeep, bolts in and is bigger than the Jeep stock. Sorry though, I don't know the answer to your compatibility question. I can say that's a very uncommon question here. If it were me, I'd pull the one I had, take to the auto parts store that had the one I was thinking would work, and have a look side by side.

Hey thanks yea that was going to be my next step. Im really wanting to do a sas tonit in the future just trying to have fun with what I have right now. I know the Dodge ram idler arm has 16.5 mm bolt as the Durango is 14 mm bolts. But not worried about that just the length. But I will be going to the auto parts store to compare.
