hey guys, wonderin if anyone can help, have a friends 97 intrepid 3.5L, i'm a mechanic, and usually work on euro imports, but he's frustrated, so i told him i'd have a look, now I'm frustrated! car idles at 1500 rpm, i've checked the IAC, it is functioning correctly, although looks to be a little loose in the seat (but to confirm operation, blocked intake port, no idle change) i've also replaced upper intake gskt, map sensor, egr, and 3 egr gskts .. no change, these parts were marginally worn, but bad, but no effect to idle... i've unhooked every vacuum line, 1 at a time, and then blocked. Each line removal causes engine to increase rpm, but then return to 15oo base when blocked, i'm kinda outa ideas at this point... i've also ran a compression check, thinkin an intake vavle could be bad, pumping charge air into plenum, not the case, all compression between 140-160... any ideas?
