hey guys i need a little help or my cousin, well my cousin has a 99 neon and da other day we were goin out to eat and it turned off all of a sudden. we pushed it into da parking lot and he was messing around wit some wires i think lead to sometin i dont kno and it turned after playin wit it. its not da starter i know for a fact but da check engine light came on and off. and he said if da chek engine light isnt on tha car wont start. he said it happened to him once, any ideas

 

Well that isn't a 99 neon, assuming it's yours.

Does the engine still turn over?

Was there a alternator light on when this happened?

 

Check the connections to the battery terminals and starter. Make sure they are clean and tight.

 

no dats my 2nd gen, i just posted here for my cousin ,but it sounds like it wants to turn on but it doesnt kik in. he was drivin and it turned off all of a sudden

 

could be da ground for do starter......connects down on da lower front of da block right above da starter

 

 

 

well da battery terminals are new, clean and thight. ima check da ground for da starter

 

Check ALL the connections to the starter. Also check the relays and fuses.

 

it shouldnt be too hard to diagnose da problem....its probally gon be sumtin easy.....
