Default 98 neon died.

Im working on a co workers neon. Its a 98 2.0L sohc, auto, frount mount fuel rail. The story is. Over the past winter they were siting in it. In park idleing fine listening to music. And the car died. No studder. Just drop. No spark.Cranks fine. Its geting fuel.(Plugs wet). I have a VAG-com. Pulled 3 codes: egr, cat low flow, Coil/IGN sys primary no signal. Turns out the coil was unpluged. Now it gets spark(Shocked my self wile testing [:@]) . Still no start. They had it in the shop before I took a look at it. Thinking mechanic forgot to connect coil. (Accident). Shop told them that the timing belt might have jumped a tooth. There is a little nipple on TB cover I poped off. Timing belt was very tight. Hard to tell if it jumped just from that I know. But befor I go an pull half the car appart to see. Is there anything else I should check. Common probs ect..?

Thanks.

Could be the gas since it sat so long. Drain the tank and refill.

Did you test the fuel pressure at the rail (49 psi)? It may not be getting enough fuel. I have seen cases where the pump was dying and not putting out enough fuel pressure.

What code was the cat low flow?

poor battery connections or grounds
replace the coil pack
replace the egr valve
possible the crank sensor or cam sensor
might end up needing an 02 sensor
if all that fails then maybe the pcm is bad

hope this is a little more thurough
