99 Neon R/T What clutch?
I've been looking for a new clutch, something better than OEM, but not crazy better, more like just a stage-1. I've been searching eBay, and all I find are clutch kits meant for Neons with 11th Vin number "D", but mine is a "T". Anyone know a good website or how to find a good clutch kit? I'm willing to spend about $300 shipped.

honestly man, imo, i dontthink you are gonna get any gain form going to a aftermarket clutch
really they are annoying for regular driving and unless ur pushing 200+ hp, u dont need it
throw 300 bones the way of a header, thatll make u feel somehting

RE: 99 Neon R/T What clutch?
You said if I don't have a modular clutch to get one, so I'm assuming it doesn't matter if my clutch is modular or not? It can fit both? I'm also not sure why the 11th VIN number should matter either. If labor for my clutch is gonna kill me now, it's gonna kill me later when I need it done, I work too much to have enough free time to get it done myself. I read somewhere else about the PT Cruiser's LuK clutch, that it can withstand more than the neon's oem. Do you know anything about that?

ok
u dont make enough power to need to withstand more than the oem clutch
not even close
the 11th number in ur vin *i belive* is whether ur neon was made in illionios or in mexico, and one of them has the better, modular clutch.
yes i think you can put it in whether or car was assembled in usa or mexico, just slight modification.
if anyhting a racing clutch willl burn out quicker causeing you to pay more labor, faster
took m buddy jon to do a clutch in his mustang 2 hrs, so cost of clutch+2hrs of laor
minimum labor in my area ne of philly, 90 bones an hour

ok sorry about the delay...
Mullet i dident mean it that way... i ment if I knew if he had mod or non mod I would be able to give him better advise....
You sir have a mexican built neon... areeba i guess...
anyways that means you have a non-mod conventional clutch... witch will cost you an arm and a leg and a left nut...
What I would do, is this...
get this... its a atx flywheel known as a drive plate...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99...3756.m20.l1116
then get this...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/F1-RA...spagenameZWDVW
this will swap you to a modular clutch...
4 of us have this clutch on this forum and we all love it to death....
hell spud threw 18 psi at this thing with absolutely no brake in at all clutch was brand spanken new, and it held like a rock...
It grabs like non other...
Plus its cheap...
