I bought a srt-4 turbo for my 04 neon to do the turbo conversion about a year ago. I have now come to where I need to sell the turbo. I have a guy who has a 96 neon and wants to know if the turbo will fit. i know you have to get an adapter plate to make it fit to the 04's and so but would it fit a 96 (if a adapter plate needed to be fabricated)?

 

depends, if its a SOHC then yes you have to get an adapter, if its a DOHC then it will bolt right up, of course you'll need everything else to make it work right (downpipe, intercooler, hot and cold side piping, fuel system upgrades)

 

yup, SOHC will need a mattdog adapter plate the DOHC does not
