did u buy the phantom lsd unit?? i am looking at getting one of those for my car. but was not sure if anyone has used it and if they have had any luck with it or not? i was also wondering how it is installed?

yea i have one of the phantom lsd's... i havnt put it in yet mainly because i never have taken apart a transaxle before lol. shouldnt be to hard though. the instruction i saw for it on the net looked easy as hell after you get the diff. out

the hardest part is putting the trans case back together after the install....

i liked the phantom grip, but in all honesty, it wouldnt be worth the money, it works ok, but i have heard stories of people burning them out after a few good runs

hey spud... you dont happen to have that inline fuel pump laying around do you?

dtjackten 08-29-2008 05:21 PM

so spud they are not good under heavy use?? how did urs work for u? i am sure u are not the lightest footed person on the gas pedal?? just wondering before i go spend the money on one??

to origanal poster, sorry for going alittle off topic..

mmench 08-30-2008 11:07 PM

lol no prob man... im way off my original topic to but i dont know how to change thread title lol

no the phantom grip isnt good under heavy use....after i put about 200 miles on mine, i couldnt even tell if it was still working or not....best thing anyone could do is just spend the $1400 on a quafie...then you will never have any problems ever again...
when i got the fully built motor in my car, it was only about 100 miles until my brand new tires were completely bald with the belts showing....so no, im not the lightest fotted person around...

as for the fuel pump, both of the inline pumps have been gone for monthes now....the only parts i actually have left is the srt4 intercooler, prothane motor mount inserts, and the hurst short throw shifter
