should i turbo the neon or build a sand rail with a neon motor
i have $1,000 extra now that i sold my 4 wheeler. i was thinking of either turboeing my car or buyin a sandrail frame and puttin my spare sohc motor and 5 speed tranny on it. i have a spare wiring harness, computer, and radiator for it. so i have everything to make it run just fine. i just will have to figure out how to attach the drive axles to the wheels. most people use a 67 vw motor and its a 1600cc motor with very low horsepower. (like in the 40-80hp tops range) and i would be putting a 132 hp motor and 5 speed tranny on there thats made to push a 2400lb car and im puttin it on a 200 lb frame imagin how fast that would be. whats your opinions.

Not mentioned, but n/a beast ftw. Not a big turbo fan, given the axle issue neons cannot escapre, similar power can be had, with a more broad powerband with an n/a setup.
As for the intake manifold part, do some searching. Some members have been selling extrude honed intake manifold, which are killer for a sleeper. The box intake manfolds perform, but there is something about them that I do not like. Certainly kills the sleeper look under the hood. Vitor sells intake manifold spacers at neongoodies.com along with a good port job can do wonders.
