Brake problem HELP!!
ok so I have a 99 R/T with 4 wheel disk brakes. My front passenger brake pads have been rubbing on the rotor quite a bit and it slows me down while driving. It is worse in hot weather and after it heats up from driving for a bit. Sometimes it will even get to the smoking point. I just replaced the pads, caliper, and rotor in an effort to fix this problem. After driving for 2 days on the new brakes the same problem is happening. What the hell is the problem?!?

When you changed the brakes did the caliper with the pad on it slide easily over the rotor? Or did you pound it on? If it went on easy, it sound like a bad rubber brake line. The ruber lines can collapse and not allow the fluid to drain back. If the calipers were hard to get back on, and to push the piston back in. I would say the calipers are stuck and need replaced,

Take it apart again, wire wheel the sliders, and grease them this time... I'm guessing the high heat warped your rotor. Return the rotors and pads on warrenty. Everything should slide nicely. Should solve your problem.
What is causing your problem is the pads or sliders are hanging up due to lack of lubrication, and/or build up of rust.
