I am not completely surprised. SRTs are a great car in stock form, but far from the quickest car on the road. A turbo'd 1st gen can beat an SRT....now turn up the boost you wuss and smoke'm!

Nice, what turbo kit you runing? Nice air fuel, that is right around the sweet spot for pump gas. Whats you compression ratio?

Srt-4 turbo, chill factory regulator and 28.1 lb/hr injectors with a in tank walboro pushing the fuel. And I got my waste gate for 8-10psi of boost but to scared to install it. I get very bad torque steer and tires break loose at random times. I am buying better axles and some nice radials, hope that will fix it. I just hope the centerforce clutch holds that power, I couldn't find ratings for them. I figure my car weighs almost 3,000 so I plan to drop weight also, hope that wont make driving worse. Oh yea I am running stock dohc with around 120k miles (as far as I know)

What do you guys think about changing the rods but not the pistons for more boost? Does anyone know the limit on the stock pistons? I would also like to point out I ran the car 6k miles with the turbo and I have had no issues and the motor still runs very good. Last time I blew it up with 5 miles on it, and the one before was 3,500 miles. So I guess I learned alot. Achievement for me

Well the SRT pistons would hold more boost, its the same bore size plus with you already running a DOHC set up I would think there wouldnt be a problem. As for torque steer lol get use to it, even with a SRT trans you still get the steer. Do you have posi? Put in the better waste gate, one guy on here is running 10 psi and dynoed at 212hp I think. To bad you didnt live in CA, Ill show you what a SRT with mods can do hahaha, but its all good. The gen1 can be quick boosted, I havent ran one or seen one here. What fuel controller are you useing?

2.4 pistons won't work in a 2.0...different rods, different piston pin diameter and different height.

Yes I use a aem wideband, I know the rods wont work from a 2.4. I beat a 13.7 daytona r/t running 16psi today . I am still on 4.5psi. And the srt-4 I raced did have mods. I was thinking of running eagle rods, stock sohc pistons on the dohc with 14psi daily driver. Oh, will power steering being reinstalled help torque steer?

That might be a bit much on the stock pistons, but your ride!
