Default I think it's running lean.

So my neon seems to be lacking when it comes to power. Not only that it will hesitate. I will give it enough gas to slowly let off the clutch but then it seems like the gas stops flowing for a sec as it boggs down. I looked at the plugs and they all have a chalky white look. I feel like it has to do with the fuel pressure. i don't have a gauge of any kind though. if it is the preasure, would this be fixed with a new regulator, fuel accumulator, or sending unit ? Thanks for any help.

a good way to know if its running lean is it will heat up quick and/or overheat and check your fuel pump make sure its constantly workin not a bad wire or something you can pick up a cheap hand held fuel pressure gauge at autozone etc.
