Quick pic of my $400 Neon
Needed a cheap car, Neons dont sell for alot in the UK. Got it for £280 which is $400. 1999 model with 93k miles. Seems ok, the drivers window needs placing back in its runner. Looks ok inside and out. Never had a Neon before. It just passed its yearly MOT test which is a strict test for road worthiness brakes, suspension, steering, emissions etc. So i hope it lasts me a while. Also came with a Sony CD player.

Nice! Looks WAY better then my "free" 1995 Neon my friend gave to me, and yours runs too! Congratuations! I hope it runs a long long time for you.
BTW, I saw your earlier post about the window being off track and had some questions.
1) Hand cranked or power?
2) Is the bottom edge of the glass broken? If so, you cannot reattach it to the runner as the bottom edge has three bolt points that pass through the glass to hold it to the runner. If they are busted, then you have to replace the glass.
3) Is the runner or cable broke? If so, then you have to replace the entire mechanism as it is not a multipart item.
My car had a bad hand crank mechanism (buzzed like a bee gone mad) and I just replaced it. The hardest part was getting the mechanism out of the door, but the Haynes repair manual was pretty clear on how to do it, and it took a little trial and error to get it out and re-aligned when I was done, but not too bad.
Just get some new plastic door trim panel clips to replace the ones that inevitably will break when you take off the panel. Also, you need a door handle removal tool (costs ~ $4 -or ~2 pounds) to pop the clip out of the handle so that you can easily remove it. You CAN do it with a flat blade, but risk scratching it up.
