What do you mean by "type"? Tire Rack, Discount Tires Direct, 1010 Tires, and probably a dozen other sites will show you what fits.
Your bolt pattern is 4x100, meaning 4 lugs 100mm apart.
Your stock offset is 40mm, meaning the wheel center is actually 40mm farther out than the center of the wheel.
Your hub center diameter is 57.1mm and hubcentric, meaning nothing bigger will fit and anything smaller requires hub chetering rings.
The older 4-bolt VW's do have the 4x100 bolt pattern and typically have the same hub bore (57.1mm), but their offset tends to run in the 20mm range, which puts it waaaaaay closer (further inside the car). Even with skinny 165mm width snow tires, you'll rub on the rear trailing arm.
