I just rebuilt my 98 sohc and have a really bad oil leak 12 quarts in the first 1000 miles finally tracked it down to my oil filter and were it splits for the crank shaft by the oil filter. Any answers as to why or solutions would be very helpful

 

Its leaking oil from the bedplate? Can you post a photo please?
