Where are yoiu located? Have a 1996 Ford Explorer sport 4WD, 2002 Dodge Intrepid and a 2000 Ford Taurus.

I'd trade any of the two for a Neon. I don't care if it runs or not. As long as the body is in good shape.

There is no difference between the SOHC and DOHC blocks, other than the internals. Both have the same cast number.

Checked every salvage yard within 60 miles. No Neon's with an MTX. Lots of Neon's though... Talking to the owners Neon's, especially those with five speed manual transmissions are a valuable commodity when it comes to stock car racing. Mixed feelings about that. Makes me sick and full of pride at the same time.

Did get an offer for $1,500 for my Neon. She's mine till she dies or some old lady forgets which peddle is the brake and which is the gas. Just horrible seeing so many Neon's being scavenged... especially when it's something simple like a head gasket or a little frame rot. Feel like Schindler. Can't save the all.

Check craigslist. There was a beautiful 98 Neon 5 speed MTX. Only needed a subframe for $450. Too far away... Another for $350 with a bad PCM.... again too far away.
