Hooking up neon to laptop
Just wondering if anyone has done this? I have the software but, i wanted to know if all i needed now was a obd2 to serial or usb cable to hook into the laptop. I seen somethings that said it hooks into an interface box but, i was assuming you wouldnt need one if you have the laptop already?

i got the whole deal for my car...it needs the little box deal, then you need the cable to go from the little box to the usb plug on your computer and then a cable to go from the little box to the obd2...

Just curious, what are you guys planning on doing when you get the laptop connected. I am pretty sure you can do nothing more than monitor sensor readings. You can't reprogram the PCM.

with the one i got it has a track performnce meter that gives the same readouts as goin to a strip, 1/4 mile,1/8 mile, 0-60, 1/4 mile speed and others...plus lets you scan the check engine codes and clear them out....and monitors all compatible sensors, vehicle speed sensor, rpm's, iat, and more...performs onboard tests...and more...i got it for the check engine light deal...works good too

Oh, ok, thats what I thought. I was hoping someone had come out with a way to program the PCM yourself.
