My K&N FIPK with the heat shield ran 80+ degrees hotter at the intake sensor than the Iceman location. That's power loss hard at work... remove the heat shield (aka AEM or ebay) and the temp jumps up another 50 degrees or so. OBD-2 scanners are cool...

the eBay intakes are located above the exhaust manifold
which is sucking hot air off of the exhaust
you might see a tiny bit of gain over a stock air box because the eBay/AEM one is an open cone
but you are better off either saving 300 for the iceman/mopar cold air intake
OR
save 250 and get all the parts and build a 3.0 cold air intake
which is the same thing as the iceman/mopar cai but isn't as flashy
