Help I'm freezing
 

Ok so I guess I must have horrible luck when it comes to cars. last winter the heat in my onld car quit working and it turned out to be my heater core and my uncle fixed that well this year my heat also stopped working in my 98 neon and I don't know what it could be i've asked around and some say heater core or thermostat. Also the AC quit working does anyone know whats wrong with it? and how much would it be to fix??? I'm desperate here

hows your temp gauge?? and when you say AC and heat is your fan just not workin? cause it could b your transistor.

My temp gauge is fine. My fan blows cold air when its cold and hot air when its hot i really hope its not expensive to fix.

well as far as your heat goes it could come from a low level of coolent not sending heated coolent to the core, the thermastate not closing and alowwing the car to warm the coolent, a clog in the line leading to or from the heater core or a none functioning core itself, for the ac you may just need a recharge witch is dirt cheap and a quick fix

Check the flap for cold/heat under the dash. Attached to the heat/cool knob.
