What would you guys pay for a 1993 W250 with cummins and 4spd auto? I'm in SoCal so prices seem above national "average".

What all is done to it? I can see from pics that it has no radio and a lot of gauges in its place. It also has rear air bags, trailer brake controller, nice aftermarket wheels, and looks like some kind of lift. With out all of that and not knowing anything else about it, they are going for, in the shape that looks to be in, $9,000 min. That is a stock truck. Fixed up I have seen up to $15,000 for them. How much is the price for it?

abdodge1500 06-09-2013 09:34 PM

yeah I would probably pay what the guy above said, that's one of the trucks that fall into the category " I would kill for that truck ".

sherwood0150 06-09-2013 09:42 PM

He's asking $15 which seems high to me but it also seems to be in amazing shape. I haven't seen it yet so can't answer too much about details on truck. What are some warning signs or key things to look for while looking at it?

wontacceptthis 06-09-2013 09:43 PM

What would I pay? Well, I already know that I couldn't afford it. But I'd agree with the above posters. It could probably easily be a 5-figure truck.

It would fetch $10k easy here in Texas.

Looks to be a very clean well cared for truck. I have no idea what it would go for here because this market is SO WEIRD! A beater 4x2 Dodge from the 80s goes for 2500 here if its beat ass, and a clean one for 3500 but a clean lower mileage Ford power poker 1997 goes for 5!6 grand? Weird.

abdodge1500 06-10-2013 08:08 PM

now that im thinking about it more, that truck would probably go for at least 10 grand down here as well.

wontacceptthis 06-11-2013 08:03 AM

I wouldn't really have too many concerns about that truck. Just make sure the transmission is good, and that the gauges aren't a wiring mess. And obviously make sure it drives well, and brakes and steers well. It seems very well cared for to me, even if it were high miles.

I always try to talk people down as much as I can with out tiring to steal it from them or make them mad. I would make them an offer of $10g's and go from there. After driving it and knowing more about it I might would give more. It does not look like it has had any power up grades which you could look at two was. Good that the motor probably has not been abused, bad that you would have to buy them if you want them. But, that way you know what you have and can buy what you want. I would like to know why he replaced the radio with gauges. Ash try looks different color than rest of dash, and just noticed hole in dash above brake and hood release that looks like there was a switch there sometime. I would have to hear it run and drive it before I would jump on it for sure. Don't think I would want to go much above 12g's for it myself if everything checks out ok on it.
