Thanks. I drew a pic a few days ago of how I would like it to sit. Im guesing it at like 5-8inch drop when its all said and done. It would be black as well.

youll probably spend most of the summer on little things like brake lines and tuning it up. what are you plans for fixing the rust on the fenders? you gonna patch and repair or just replace? I mean with a 100 dollar starting price it isnt such a big deal to put some money into it, but with the lowering kit things might add up

Its was a DD for about the last 12 years so im hopeing everything is up to par mechan. wise. I know for sure it needs exhaust work due to the lacking of...but I will be adding exhaust that will still be opening her up to breath a bit more then stock. I know the main resone he is selling it is becuase this last November he had a fuel line on the carb burst and had a small fire under the hood burning up the elec. choke wires and just a few others. Still starts and runs but has soem trouble staying running in the cold with the choke not working. It does start and run though.

With the body, for now I am just going to leave it the way it is, throw some flat black on it, and drive it for a while. Maybe down the road find some replacment panels and do some patch work here and their on it.

To lower it Im planning on taking out the coils and cutting them down and doing a spring over in the back. I will need to figure out how much to cut in order to acheive the height Im after. Has anyone here doen this with some messurments and/or pics to kind of stear me in the right direction? Im wanting to go as low as I possibly can w/o major suspention/drive line modifications. I can modify some to a certain extent but dont want a big project on my hands. Once I get the front as low I can I will simply drop the rear to match and sit level. No rake for me, never been a big fan of it. If the spring over isent enough or ends up being to much I will simply put in longer shackles and If I must go threw the floor of the box. Nothing skimpy and weak either. They will be tough. Heck its a 3/4 ton so Ill probly load her down from time to time.

I will be picking it up this Friday or Saturday.

Nice rendering, think it will be a fantastic ride. Here are a few pictures of what to expect from the rear-end. I am not going to lower mine but a few inches, but I am going to install a 4-bar setup with coil-overs, mainly for better ride and handling. I think that may be your best bet also, although it will be more work and money. I figured close to $500 for parts including a new fuel cell since it needs to be relocated, and a little bit of welding will do the trick.

Actually you may not need to relocate the gas tank after all, being a long bed.
