Default Front hard brake line

I have a 1988 Dodge W100 that I'm trying to fix the brakes on and I found that the hatdlhard for the driver side was under the leaf spring is this normal

A pic would really help.... but, on my truck (just a bit newer than yours...... ) the lines do indeed run under the springs. (spring over axle) So long as the line isn't being pinched by the spring, it's all good.
