HVAC Control vacuum line diagram?
Anyone have the color code diagram showing what line goes to what position on the back of the HVAC control? It originally had AC but someone removed it. Besides having cut the vacuum line for the controls at the engine and stuffing it under the heater core cover they pulled all but one of the lines off the leads to the control. Of course only one of those is color coded the rest were all black. In addition one line under the dash is presently MIA. I did get it so I can switch between Defrost and Heat or Vent but which is Heat and which is Vent I couldn't tell you. I capped off the control lead I couldn't find a line for right now but I really would to make everything (that's left) work correctly if possible. WHY do people do things like this?! :icon_doh:
Is this shown in the factory service manual? If so I'll go ahead and buy one. |

Hi,
Im glad the diagram worked for you! You will have to let me know how that FSM works out for you as i may be interested in buying one also. Do you know by chance if theres an aftermarket A/C bypass pulley available for these 318's as my A/C Clutch is starting to drive me nuts with its constant squeeking. I can order a remaned clutch from where i work but am trying not to put alot money into this truck, lol. |
you could run a belt from the main pully to the alternator. it should be the same size as the one that goes around the waterpump and power steering pump. just an idea.

Hi,
I thought about that yesterday but it looks like the water pump would be i in the way of the belt if i were to run in from the crank pulley to the alt. Ill have to double check today. |
