Angry 84 prospector

we have an 84 prospector she wont turn over.........we had the battery checked she is still good (but is cranking about 200 less thensupposed to be) volt meter take a big dive when cranking her but wont give her enough to start......HELP!!

your starter could need to be rebuilt or replaced. when starters get older and more worn they start to need more power to turn over.

Also make sure battery cables are good and that all connections are cleaned and tight.

Most local motor re-builders will check the starter for defects for free if you take the starter out. This will help you isolate the problem.
