some advice on mods/tires

So Ive got a 92 Dodge Power Ram. Picture is below. I just bought it a month ago. Its got a pretty high lift on it. Idk how much or what kind. And Idk how to find out or even if its that important.

So far Ive gotten some Warn lock-in hubs for it and thats all the non stock items ive really gotten.

I need new tires. Ive been looking at the General Grabber tires. The ones with the Red lettering you know? They look good but I cant find hardly any info or reviews on them. My tire size is 35x12.5x15

I want to add dual steering stabilizers as well, any advice on that?

Also, I need new exhaust. I was originally thinkin straight pipes but Im not gonna do that just incase some cop gets picky but I was thinking dual, with cherry bomb glasspacks. Opinions? Any advice on if I should get new headers?

I am new to this so any advice will be most appreciated. And if anyone has any random pieces of info or advice please do share.

Do those 35s rub at all? The wheel wells look awfully full.

If you want a muffler that doesn't muffle at all, take the shortest glass pack you can find, then pour kerosene down it, and swish it all around. Then CAREFULLY light it, and watch the show, as all the fiberglass packing disappears, and your new muffler is ready to install.

No they dont rub. The trim was trimmed so that they wouldnt.
35 lbs in each

Idk if I really wanna do that lol.
How loud are glasspacks themselves?

I have a 28 inch on my truck, and its actually pretty quiet at idle, and only gets loud when you get on it. I don't think its obnoxiously loud, and there is no highway drone. At least the drone isn't louder than all the whistling, groaning, and clanking my truck makes.

I just installed it and drove for about 6 months, then i sprayed water all over it and in it after a 30 min drive, and drove some more to get the water and packing out. That made it a little louder, but nothing crazy.

I like the Magnaflow glass packs. I have them on my 408 powered ZJ.

I want something loud. Just not obnoxious. Would the shorter the muffler mean its louder?

I don't see much of a lift there. My truck sets that high and it is stock. I believe you will have clearance issues with 35s. On the duals you should know that you will have to pass both pipes down the passengers side due to the fuel tank location.

I was thinking the same thing about the lift SEAL, hence my comment about rubbing. 33s might be more streetable for you. A shorter pipe, at least with a straight through style muffler means there is less muffler there to do the muffling. A 36 inch glass pack will do a lot more to tone down the exhaust than a 12 inch.

Cool about the exhaust comment.

Is there an easy way to tell if I do have a lift kit on the truck?

And what do you mean clearance issues with 35s?

wontacceptthis 06-10-2011 12:23 PM

About the clearance, that means it looks like if you parked your right front tire on a big rock, and the other three on level ground, the right front tire would hit the lip of the fender. Too much tire, not enough space. We (or I) think that at full suspension travel, or full turn left or right, or a combination of the two, your tires are going to rub.
