parts id
i did my rear brakes last weekend, shoes, springs and wheel cyclinders and brake lines. my question is in the spring package i got this, what is it? is it important?

i don't think it is that important. it is probably just an extra part to make the kit more universal.

I remember using those but It may have been before self adjusting brakes.

maybe it is the piece use to hold the pivoting part of the park brake to the shoe?

Yours may not need it, your parking brake may have had the top end bent over and just hooked into the shoe. Dave |
