87 Ram 250-74 Trailduster swap!!
Hello Team,
This is my first posting, as up until now i have use the site to primarily research and troubleshoot. Thanks for all that y'all do! However, i have recently acquired a new project, and could use some pointers. I have a 74 Plymouth Trailduster with the standard 318/727, and have the opportunity to buy an 87 Ram 250 with Dana 44F/60R/360/4spd. Any advice on the swap? Has anyone ever done this? Also, i want to do a little work on the 360 while it's out. What are some things i can do to build decent power without breaking the bank?
Thanks in advice for your attention!

should be a fairly easy swap. i think you might need to get custom drive shafts made but that should be fairly minor. a new more aggressive cam and timing chain would probably wake the engine up. it should already have a 4 barrel carb and intake so that should save you some money unless the current carb leaks.

Yeah, actually it's got a LD340 intake and a 650 Edelbrock carb that is brand new, and some long tube headers... Anyone know of specific cams or things to do to the heads?
There is a shop locally that will do the driveshafts for 100 bucks, and my neighboor has a set of 38" super swampers for a 16.5" rim, and a set of hummer wheels
